Atta Rainforest Lodge
The Atta Rainforest Lodge is situated approximately 500 metres from the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway. The lodge grounds are completely surrounded by tropical rainforest which offers a complete immersion in the rainforest experience. The main building is open sided with views across the gardens to the towering forest on all sides. This building houses the bar, dining area and kitchen.
The two accommodation buildings were once open sided shelters intended to hang hammocks in the open breeze. We have spent the past few years enclosing the buildings, creating eight separate rooms, and adding attached bathrooms to create a more comfortable space for our guests. Sleeping in a hammock is still an option, and is certainly a fun and comfortable way to spend the night. But no one leaves Atta without commenting on the private, roofless showers that afford you a stunning view of the treetops while you bathe. Each roomy bathroom is also fitted with a flush toilet and wash basin. Water is heated by the sun – but you’re unlikely to want hot water in this climate anyway!
