The area offers excellent opportunities for viewing squirrels, peccaries, arapaima, and occasionally giant river otters.
The camp is located at the foot of Turtle Mountain near Paddle Rock Creek, a refuge for Brazilian tapirs, occasional peccaries, agoutis and pacas. Return to the field station overnight.
