Kaieteur and Orinduik fall tour: a full-day guided tour to two of the most magnificent waterfalls in Guyana.
Orinduik Falls
Orinduik Falls is stunning; you'll want to make time for a dip!
The falls are in the Pakaraima Mountains and are part of the Ireng River. A series of terraces and steps form the falls made from red jasper, a type of quartz that forms along mountain ranges. Ireng River rushes over these steps before flowing into the Takutu River and into Brazil to join the Amazon River.
A trip to Orinduik Falls lasts about 2 hours, and it's worth every minute! You can enjoy an invigorating swim in the cool waters while there—you'll feel refreshed as you float among the ripples that massage your body.
Kaieteur Falls
Kaieteur Falls is the world's largest single-drop waterfall. So, if you ever have the chance to do it, don't pass it up—you'll regret it for the rest of your life.
Kaieteur Falls is located in Guyana and has been called "the eighth wonder of the world." It's not just a pretty sight—it's also a place of scientific interest. The falls have eroded a gorge that descends another 81 feet after its initial plunge of 741 feet.
The falls are 300 to 350 feet wide at the top and are the central feature of the Kaieteur National Park (established in 1930). Tourists usually visit the site by chartered aircraft from Georgetown, but a road and river expedition is also possible. C. Barrington Brown, a British geologist, sighted the falls in 1870.
You will spend 2 hours at this location, explore the rainforest, visit the waterfalls, and experience the sheer beauty of the scenery! It's an experience of a lifetime!
