5 Day Trek to Kaieteur Falls
Itinerary
Day 1: First Leg to Kaieteur. You will be picked up early from your hotel this morning for your journey to the gold mining town of Madhia, passing through Linden, another mining town and then continue along a dusty road to Mabura Hills and Konawaruk. The short drive from Madhia to Pamela. From there,  we will join a boat for a trip upstream to Amatuk Falls where you overnight in hammocks. (Meals: lunch, Dinner)

Day 2: Amatuk-Waratuk
Travel by boat from Amatuk and continue your river journey to your campsite at Waratuk Falls. Enjoy a 2 to 3 hour hike in the surrounding rainforest and a swim in the falls in the area. Learn about the trees, wildlife and birds from your knowledgeable guide. (Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Day 3: Trekking, Camping and Tukeit
After an early breakfast, we will enjoy a boat ride and a hike from Waratuk Falls to Tukeit and an enchanting overnight camp with refreshing swimming in the Potaro River. We will also get a spectacular view of the Kaieteur Gorge. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 4: Kaieteur Falls
Our four-hour hike starts from Tukeit. The trail winds through the mountains and streams and the mighty "Oh My God" pass which aptly describes the steep ascent. On reaching the top you'll catch your first glimpse of the mighty Kaieteur Falls. At dusk falls, thousands of swifts gather before plunging into the water of the falls to their rocky nesting sites behind the wall of water. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 5: Fly to Georgetown
Early morning mist gives way to a memorable view of the falls from Johnson View. See the golden frogs which live in giant tank bromeliads. You may also be lucky to spot the cock of the rock in nearby bushes or along the trails in the park. Fly to Georgetown and transfer to your hotel. ((Meals: breakfast,lunch)
